Welcome to Love Notes. The privacy of our users is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application. By using Love Notes, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Love Notes service:

•Account data: When you sign in with Google, we obtain your name, email address, and profile picture.

•Partner data: The connection code used to link accounts with your partner.

•Content data: Notes, photos, images, voice messages, drawings, and any other content shared within the app. This content is stored encrypted in the cloud.

•Usage data: Anonymised analytics such as feature usage frequency and app performance data. We do not link this to your personal identity.

•Error data: We use tools like Crashlytics to collect information about crashes and application failures to enhance stability and performance.

•Device data: Device type, operating system version, and push notification token for delivering notifications.

•Advertising data: If you use the free tier, our advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) and usage context to serve relevant ads. See Section 5 for details.

We use your data solely to provide and improve Love Notes:

•Sync your content between you and your partner's devices.

•Send push notifications for new messages and reminders.

•Provide customer support when you contact us.

•Improve app stability and performance using anonymised analytics.

•Serve advertisements in the free tier via trusted third-party ad networks.

We do not build profiles for third-party marketing or sell your personal data.

Your content is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols. Only you and your connected partner can access shared content — our team cannot read your notes or view your photos.

Data is stored on secure servers. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently erased within 30 days.

The free version of Love Notes is supported by advertising. We work with trusted third-party ad networks that may use cookies, device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID / IDFA / GAID), and contextual information to display relevant ads.

These ad partners operate under their own privacy policies and may collect data as described therein. We do not share your notes, photos, or personal relationship content with advertisers.

Premium subscribers do not see ads and are not subject to ad-related data collection by our ad partners.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings:

•iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

•Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share limited data with:

•Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting and storage services that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

•Ad networks: Device identifiers and contextual data for serving ads to free-tier users only.

•Analytics tools: Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics — never personally identifiable information.

•Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

•Technical error analysis: Crash and error data to improve service quality.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

•Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

•Request correction of inaccurate data.

•Request deletion of your account and all associated data.

•Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

•Opt out of personalised advertising.

•Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Love Notes is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you through the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Love Notes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
